Meet Graceland Station
Bill Harris
Drums, Background Vocals

Bill — our “Drummer Boy from Illinois” — has been keeping time since his elementary school band days. Inspired early on by The Beatles, Bill chose the drums and never once looked back.

He went on to play “Ringo” in a Beatles Tribute band for several years, honing the pocket, feel, and musical instincts that define his playing. When that chapter closed, Bill found his way into the world of Elvis, diving deep into the legendary styles of D.J. Fontana and Ronnie Tutt to capture the authentic heartbeat of the King’s music.

In 2018, Bill teamed up with a lineup of equally talented musicians to form Graceland Station. Today, he brings power, precision, and pure joy to every performance—whether driving the band behind Elvis Tribute Artists or locking in for a full night of rock ’n’ roll.
Ask Bill for his favorite Elvis song and today he’ll say “Promised Land.”
Ask him tomorrow… it just might be “Suspicious Minds.”
Larry Star
Guitar, Background Vocals

Larry Star is an author, songwriter, musician, comedian, radio co-host and photographer.
The book "Bitter, Party of One Your Table is Ready: Relationship advice from a guy who has no business giving it," stemmed from a viral posting on eBay long before the days of social media. This led to appearances on national TV shows including Today and Countdown with Keith Obermann.

He co-hosted a radio show with Dr. Manuel Gomes called "From Both Ends - relationship advice from the intellect and the id."
Larry has a passion for photography, with a primary focus on musicians in the Pacific Northwest.

Larry's credits as a songwriter include the theme to "Lionel in the Morning", a radio talk show in New York City on WABC.

Larry also fronts the band HotRod.Red, a 3-piece neobilly band based in Seattle.
See this video from their first album.
He is also working on writing a dark-country cinematic album based on gothic themes and social issues.

Larry's favorite Elvis song is "Love Letters." His favorite songs to perform are "Polk Salad Annie" and "Never Been to Spain."
Mark Beckmeyer
Bass, Background Vocals

Mark grew up in Snohomish, Washington, where his love for music started early at the piano. By high school, he’d found his true calling on electric bass—while also adding flute to his musical toolbox. He earned an Associate Degree in Music from Everett Community College and later sharpened his craft studying bass with Dan Dean at the University of Washington.

Mark’s musicianship has taken him beyond the classroom and onto the road, touring for nine months in 1981–82 and laying down tracks in recording sessions with several local bands.

On stage, Mark delivers the low-end punch with a formidable lineup of instruments, including a Fender Jazz Bass, an original Rickenbacker 4001, and a Guild acoustic bass—each chosen for tone, authority, and character.

Mark also brings his signature groove to the Blue Margaritas, adding yet another chapter to a career built on versatility and experience.

When it comes to Elvis Presley’s music, Mark is right at home. His favorites, “My Way” and “Never Been to Spain,” reflect both the depth and swagger he brings to every performance.
Steve Pearse
Saxophone

Steve grew up in Rochester, NY back in the 50s, when every school kid with an interest in making music was encouraged to sing, strum, honk or drum! At various times he played the bassoon, violin, piano, sax and ukulele. After the family relocated to Detroit (Motown), then motored on to Seattle, Steve took every music class his high school offered, playing with friends in pickup bands. At college, he majored in music but also discovered a love for language and literature.
Steve taught high school English and served as language arts coordinator for a Seattle-area school district, completed a doctorate at the UW, and taught graduate courses at night, winning awards along the way. Steve and his wife Sandy now live on Whidbey Island.
Since retirement, Steve has returned to his first love—music! He plays first tenor sax for the SeaNotes Big Band in Oak Harbor, and he has performed on alto and tenor sax for a variety of jazz, blues, and rock bands in recent years. Thanks to Larry Star’s encouragement and support, Steve and his beloved Buescher Big B tenor appear on the cover of the November, 2023 Bluesletter (Washington Blues Society). Steve loves jumping up on stage on jam nights when he’s not working on solid sax parts for those fantastic Elvis numbers.
Steve’s favorite Elvis songs right now are “Jailhouse Rock” and “Little Sister.” Rock on!
Sue Oelrich

Equally at home in classic rock, blues, and country, Sue brings versatility and style to every project—whether she’s performing in duos, tribute bands, or high-energy dance bands. From intimate dinner shows to packed dance floors, studios, and festival stages, Sue’s musical range and engaging presence shine through.

No matter the setting, Sue delivers every performance with talent, heart, and personality to spare. Her favorite Elvis songs—“Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Blue Moon of Kentucky”—perfectly reflect her dynamic and soulful approach to the music.
